Robert Half Budget Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Description

Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented financial associate to join our finance team. Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, and general accounting, as well as a strong work ethic, are required. You will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks in our finance department and play an integral role in supporting business development initiatives and monitoring financial performance across the company.

  • Interact with various project managers on the development, updating and management of individual project budgets

  • Build and maintain detailed, dynamic financial models to help drive growth and inform monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting

  • Work with accounting staff to prepare financial statements and reports monthly, quarterly, and annually

  • Tracking and monitoring company performance as well as individual project budgets

  • Ability to identify and evaluate performance trends and prepare recommendations accordingly

  • Prepare company financial forecasts, including monthly and annual, reports as required

  • Independently prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities

  • Assist in government contract reporting and proposal preparation

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • 2 - 4 years' experience in a financial role which may include role(s) in FP& A, treasury, or corporate banking.

  • Knowledgeable in basic accounting and corporate finance (valuation, cost of capital, financial analysis, and modeling)

  • Computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace and QuickBooks Online

  • Analytical tools SQL and Python considered a plus

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, asking questions, and teamwork

  • Impeccable organizational/time management skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communicator, both spoken and written

  • Thrives working both independently (a self-starter) and collaboratively

  • Dependable, responsible, and respectful
