Position summary:

The Business Development Associate has an innovative mindset that enables them in developing, driving and executing the client's growth strategy within the legal sector. Goals are to achieve new business strategic objectives, building strong business relationships with prospective clients, identify opportunities, market/present services, maintain a pipeline of potential new customers and deliver revenues with the primary emphasis being on new clients.

Job duties:

• Identify, qualify and track targeted opportunities to achieve growth in targeted markets and with targeted clients, in alignment with the client's legal support services business strategy.

• Prospecting activities for identification of prospective new clients.

• Sales/Marketing calls, customer meetings, presentations and demonstrations conducted in pursuit of new business from prospective clients.

• Design and articulate business solutions into viable solutions to prospective new clients.

• Substantially grow and maintain a pipeline of viable prospective new client opportunities.

• Manage client opportunities – including RFP processes

• Meet or exceed individual annual sales objectives.

• Share knowledge, best practices and solution designs to ensure continuous business improvement

• Collaborate with all internal functional teams (HR/IT/Finance/Marketing), Operations, Solutions and executive team to ensure that customer needs are met and new initiatives are delivered

• Keep abreast of industry, economic/business trends and advancements that may affect potential new business opportunities and apply knowledge in a timely and effective manner.

• Work with bid support to ensure all business development documents have useful content, and delivered on deadline

Requirements

Capability to engage with clients to create value and benefit requirements, primary focus to build a sustaining collaborative relationship with clients. Ability to understand client situations, expectations and take action to create a solution that is acceptable from client that addresses their operational concerns, while achieving commercial acceptance.

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications related discipline

• Demonstrated business development/sales experience preferably in a Business Process Outsourcing or professional services, technology consulting business environment.

• Effective communication and people skills for building meaningful long-term relationships with clients

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to access c-suite within a client environment, developing the appropriate client relationship to successfully drive opportunities

• Experience writing/reviewing sales proposals and/or business marketing documents

• Experience in overseeing complex projects involving large, cross-functional teams while coordinating with internal SME teams to develop proposals

• Demonstrated ability collaborating with clients to build consensus on matters of significance and overcome obstacles

• Ability to achieve success working independently in virtual working environment

• Experience in working in a Salesforce.com

• Fluent communication skills, business acumen and assertive decision-making ability coupled with speaking and presentation skills.

• Flexibility to multi-task and to perform a wide range of activities while being self-directed, initiative-taking, and self-managed, even when operating outside of core focus

• Strong business and financial acumen with analytical ability to drive the organization forward

• Collaborative collaborator and powerful desire to achieve results while respecting the company’s core values framework
