Where We Need You:

We are looking for a Learning Senior Specialist focused on business development learning to join our Global Learning and Development team in any of our Protiviti offices.

We focus on innovation in learning and we work with our business leaders to support our business growth, organization development and transformation goals.

You can make an impact by developing, managing, and delivering multiple learning programs from start to finish, which provide immediate value to our consulting professionals and support our organization’s strategic goals. This role will manage Business Development skill-building programs for our practice professionals. Examples of Business Development skill-building and programs include sales training, networking and relationship development training, Account Management training, and proposal writing/effective communication training, just to name a few.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, plan, and execute training events of all sizes- in-person and live virtual. Work closely with colleagues, stakeholders to:

  • Identify Business Development learning needs, target audience, dates, and locations.

  • Develop new training material and provide recommendations for enhancements needed to improve understanding and adoption.

  • Select and prepare internal facilitators and support staff.

  • Send timely and effective participant communications.

  • Plan impactful events outside of the classroom, such as executive receptions, group dinners, virtual networking events, etc.

  • Collect and analyze participant feedback, making updates to content as needed.

  • Conduct learning needs assessments.

  • Practice creative problem solving, delegation, communication and leadership skills to drive projects to completion. Whether it be organizing a large training event on short notice due to a schedule change, or taking on a side project like creating a brand new eLearning from scratch that will be rolled out firmwide in a month, be adaptable and have a healthy relationship with urgency.

  • Understand that it’s not just important to be the expert on the content, but also to provide an exceptional development and culture-building experience for our participants, facilitators, and support staff.

  • Keep your eyes and ears open to identify opportunities, big or small, to enhance our learning portfolio and deliver greater value to our organization. Go the extra mile to communicate your ideas and your plan for how to implement them.

  • Cultivate relationships across all levels and departments of the organization, and practice excellent communication skills to keep stakeholders informed of the latest L&D developments and ensure we are continuing to support their goals.

  • Keep up to date with the “latest and greatest” in learning trends, platforms/technologies, environments (virtual or physical), etc. and think innovatively on how we may be able to adopt these as appropriate.

  • While travel expectations may not be a factor in the short-term, you may be required to travel 50% or more in the long-term.

  • You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • You are comfortable with virtual web conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

  • You are familiar with various learning management systems, web conferencing platforms, course authoring tools, and/or other learning technologies, and can pick up new technologies quickly.

  • You like to learn, you are curious, and have a passion for people development.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years of previous experience in learning and development. Bonus points for having experience in the Consulting/Professional Services industry or with Business Development.
