The Manager will play a key role in developing and monitoring the budget and forecast cycles, participate in strategic planning, and prepare financial reports and analyses to support senior leadership in key decision making.
Job Description:
Partner with the SVP in the development of budgets, financial models and project reporting deliverables.
Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual business planning process, including detailed review of actuals, assumptions and KPIs.
Effectively partner with the project and finance teams to maintain reliable project forecasts.
Produce and analyze project financial data including variance analysis to budget and prior forecast.
Maintain the overall consolidation model and analyze variances in returns.
Prepare inputs to monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting package.
Identify process improvements and operational solutions to continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of the FP& A processes.
Manage preparation of specific Investor Reporting requirements and ad-hoc project analyses using a broad range of tools including Yardi and Excel.
Assist in various ad hoc financial analysis, financial systems and process improvements, and special projects.
Provide overall business support and oversight on financial-related matters to drive growth and company performance.
Prepare project and venture level waterfall calculations and reporting deliverables, manage audit requirements.
Prepare presentation quality deliverables for Finance and Business leadership.
Conduct special project work for finance or other departments, as needed, through direction of Finance leadership.
Oversee and develop team of financial analysts.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred.
8+ years experience in FP& A or equivalent progressive accounting and finance experience in a complex, data-driven environment.
Commercial Real Estate industry, particularly development, experience required.
Demonstrated financial acumen and experience in the areas of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, data mining and interpretation.
Extensive experience building complex models for business forecasting, including three-statement modelling and strong technical knowledge of accounting in a property and/or construction context.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a willingness to take initiative and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
Ability to react with appropriate urgency to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workloads and achieve effective results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Exceptional influencing and communication skills with a proven ability to lead cross functional teams.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (including financial modeling) and Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with Yardi Voyager, Yardi Advanced Budgeting and Forecasting or business forecasting tools is a plus.
