Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst position contributes to the company's success by supporting operational and strategic projects. This includes being the main preparer for the cash forecasting modeling and cash reporting process, creating ad-hoc analyses and presentations to support capital structure decision making, and aggregating and analyzing market data to assist with investor relations.
Essential Functions:
Produce cash flow statements
Prepare cash forecasts for both domestic and international business units
Act as primary financial modeler with the company’s consolidation system
Participate in the annual budgeting process
Develop financial models and presentations to assist ad-hoc projects including capital raises and equity offerings
Evaluate the Company’s financials and capital structure to ensure compliance with financial covenants
Assist with external reporting and communications to Investors & Rating Agencies
Coordinate the implementation of system solutions that meet the needs of the Company by:
Gathering information and business requirements, conducting research and staying on top of business and information technology industry trends
Analyzing business needs
Developing requirements
Coordinating the development of procedures, training and other communications
Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS (revenue recognition criteria, contingent liabilities, etc)
Experience working in Information Systems (Knowledge of MS Access / Sequel +) or strong desire to learn
1 – 3 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Public Accounting, or Consulting highly desirable
CPA or CPA eligible a strong plus
CFA Candidacy a strong plus
Strong PC literacy with the Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with large data models and able to optimize and summarize information
Able to create stored procedures and macros within excel (or desire to learn)
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines
Proactive and positive team member who is self-motivated to achieve all goals
Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
Excellent attention-to-detail capabilities to assure complete reporting accuracy
