Robert Half Financial Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will primarily focus on all areas of finance, including bookings, revenue, cost of goods sold, and expenses. You will work closely with business group leaders and utilize your advanced Excel skills to develop consistent and recurring reports that provide valuable business insights.

Responsibilities:

• Provide key support for finance, covering all areas with an emphasis on bookings, revenue, cost of goods sold, and expenses

• Lead the analysis, critique, and drive the pipeline review effort, resulting in actionable forecasting of sales, revenue, and expenses

• Take the lead in supporting non-recurring and recurring revenue models

• Conduct monthly reviews that cover revenue and expense forecasting/budget/long term strategic planning

• Develop useful, consistent, and recurring reports and metrics that provide management with the insight needed to make sound business decisions

• Perform analysis and reconciliation of performance and drivers of variances between financial periods, budgets, and prior year on a monthly basis

• Partner with business group leaders in the monthly analysis of operating results compared to expectations

• Perform commission compensation analysis and payouts calculation

• Utilize advanced model building skills with a focus on sustainability and flexibility to automate and repeat workflow

• Use your knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to perform your duties effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Financial Analyst role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning and analysis

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Expertise in Great Plains (GPAC) and About Time software is preferred

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Budget Processes and Expense Reporting is essential

• Strong knowledge in Finance

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field is required

• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
