Provide immediate supervision and ongoing qualitative monitoring of accounting staff responsible for accounts payable, cash receipt processing and petty cash reimbursement
Ensure overall timeliness and accuracy of general ledger processing
Maintain chart of accounts
Conduct monthly and year-end general ledger closings and internal financial statement and schedule preparation, including qualitative balancing checks of each fund and various accounts
Coordinate annual independent audit, including preparation of Agency audited financial statements
Assist Chief Financial Officer in preparation of annual cost reports
Prepare standard monthly journal entries, and review and record non-standard journal entries prepared by other Business Office staff
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Accounting
Minimum of five years experience (one of which must be recent experience with a social services/not-for-profit entity)
Demonstrate PC proficiency in use of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains General Ledger, Excel Spreadsheet, and MS Word processing software
