Robert Half Financial Reporting Manager in CHICAGO, Illinois

• Prepares and reviews annual and quarterly financial statements to lenders, management, and board of directors.

• Primary liaison with the auditors for the year-end audit and quarterly reviews.

• Provides management and auditors with appropriate supporting documentation for quarterly and annual financial statements.

• Participates in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings of the consolidated books and records.

• Assists with SOX-like compliance.

• Reviews all new accounting pronouncements and requirements. Evaluates their impact on the Company and present such findings to senior management.

• Prepares reviews and verifies account reconciliations and journal entries for complex corporate accounting matters such as pensions and other post-retirement obligations, leases, etc.

• Reviews established accounting practices and procedures. Recommends changes in and additions to such practices and procedures.

• Works closely with operational and plant accounting teams to ensure appropriate application of accounting guidance and Company policies and procedures.

• Opportunities for rotations in operational, and plant accounting roles to broaden experience.

• Responsible for special projects as assigned.



• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of previous experience. CPA preferred.

• Public accounting experiences are strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of SEC Reporting requirements and U.S. GAAP principles.

• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all organization levels.

• Must have excellent:

• Leadership skills and the ability to implement change.

• Organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

• Software skills, including extensive experience with Excel.
