Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Data Entry Clerk in Chicago, Illinois. This position is within the healthcare industry and requires proficiency in data entry, customer service, and documentation. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing data, and handling customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate input of patient health information into the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) and EHR SYSTEM
• Utilize IBM AS/400 and McKesson systems for data entry tasks
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis
• Administer billing functions and claim administration processes
• Provide high-quality customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all data entry processes
• Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure data consistency and accuracy
• Continuously update skills and knowledge in order to maintain proficiency with medical data entry systems. Requirements • Proficiency in Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) is mandatory
• Experience with EHR SYSTEM is required
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 is needed
• Previous work experience with McKesson is a plus
• Microsoft Excel skills are essential
• Knowledge of billing functions is required
• Experience with claim administration is necessary
• Superior customer service skills are needed
• Proficiency in data entry tasks is mandatory
• Documentation skills are essential
