Description
Overview:
As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of our network systems.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation: Develop and implement network infrastructure plans, including hardware, software, and protocols.
Design and configure network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and procedures.
Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
Troubleshoot network problems and implement solutions.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades and security patches.
Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against threats.
Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond accordingly.
Project Management: Collaborate with other teams to plan and execute network-related projects.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in network engineering.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, routing protocols).
Experience with network devices and technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
Familiarity with network security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
