Where We Need You:
- We are seeking an Office of Risk Management Director to join our growing team in either our Chicago, Dallas, Houston, or Los Angeles markets.
What You Can Expect:
You will report to the Firmwide Leader of the Office of Risk Management and will provide leadership in developing and implementing standards for managing all aspects of risk related to the delivery of services to our clients.
You will help establish and implement quality delivery standards for the global practice with a focus in newer and high growth service areas including cyber, systems implementation, managed services, digital and data.
You will have a close working and advisory relationship with service line leaders, particularly in our high growth Technology Consulting practice.
You will be expected to ensure we continue to drive quality in all our service offerings through example, and by serving in a quality control capacity on large and strategic clients. You will influence others through policy, standard setting, training development and communication.

What Will Help You Be Successful:
You will be actively involved in evaluating our largest and most complex projects early in the proposal stage and act as an advisor to the team in establishing the right strategy for winning the work, delivering high quality solutions, getting the right skills engaged and managing our delivery risks.
You will help establish contracting standards tailored to the work to be delivered and work with teams directly in an advisory capacity on our largest and most complex engagements.
You will help ensure compliance with Quality Control Standards on engagements and ensure proper quality control oversight is being applied on higher risk engagements. This will include your personal involvement on some of our larger, complex, and higher risk engagements.
You will understand the methodologies and tools for specific solutions, and industries and provide additional guidance for managing unique aspects of quality and risk.
You must be passionate about continually improving technical and risk management approaches based upon business trends and technical advances, including technology solutions such as custom coding, offshore and onshore delivery centers, customer experience, and big data.
You will promote Protiviti’s mission, vision and values and encourage collaboration across your teams to ensure effective execution.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?
An understanding and adoption of risk-based approaches, the ability to build risk management capability within the business and ensure that risk management activities comply with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
Lead a portion of or directly support efforts in technology solutions, risk and compliance or other service areas.
Ability to ensure that risk-based approaches are embedded into the relevant elements of our policies and that these approaches are aligned with Protiviti’s global standards as well as regulatory expectations.
Ability to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across industries.
Supervisory experience of teams.
Advance project management and status reporting capabilities.
Ability to network and build relationships.
Design and propose solutions that address identified needs and opportunities.
Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, MBA, JD) required
10+ years in a related field, preferably in professional services
Strong knowledge and proven experience in applying risk management tools and methods (e.g., FMEA, PHA, Risk Ranking and Filtering, Risk)
