Robert Half Paralegal in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are seeking a detail-focused Paralegal for our team located in Chicago, Illinois. This role is centered around litigation support, specifically for document-intensive cases. The ideal candidate will have a knack for abstracting and reorganizing documents, pulling pertinent information, and changing file formats. This is a short-term contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage 3 document-intensive cases, ensuring all pertinent information is organized and easily accessible.

• Abstract and reorganize documents as needed for case management.

• Pull information from documents and create spreadsheets to manage and present the data effectively.

• Change the format of files from Excel, PDF, etc. as required.

• Utilize CLIO case management software (experience with this software is a plus but not necessary).

• Ensure all duties are carried out in a reliable and organized manner.

• Use software such as Adobe Acrobat, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel to aid in case management.

• Handle billing functions, briefing, calendar management, claim administration, and complaint handling.

• Use e-Filing systems to manage and file documents.

• Maintain a high level of organization and reliability throughout all tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 1-year experience in a Paralegal role or similar legal support role.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, and Management System.

• Familiarity with Case Management Software and LexisNexis is preferred.

• Experience in Billing Functions, Briefing, Calendar Management, Claim Administration, and Complaint Handling.

• Knowledge of e-Filing and the ability to manage electronic legal documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong research and report-generating skills.

• Undergraduate degree in law or related field is preferred.

• Paralegal certification is a plus.
