Robert Half Paralegal in Chicago, Illinois
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in Chicago, Illinois. This role primarily involves providing administrative support for attorneys, working closely with other office administrators and paralegal staff, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality. This role also requires the use of various software and systems including Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), among others.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative paralegal support for attorneys as needed
• Collaborate with other office administrators on urgent projects
• Assist paralegal staff in preparation for hearings, depositions, document production, and trial preparation
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all tasks
• Utilize various software and systems such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Digitize documents as needed and maintain organized electronic records
• Print documents and create binders/witness files as necessary
• Use Case Management Software and CompuLaw for various tasks
• Handle Billing Functions and Briefing as required
• Manage calendars and administer claims Requirements • Proficient in using Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Proficient in Case Management Software and CompuLaw
• Capable of performing Billing Functions
• Proficient in Briefing and Calendar Management
• Experience in Claim Administration
• Excellent Communication skills
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Strong research and report writing skills
• Familiarity with legal terminologies and principles
• Bachelor's degree in Law or related field preferred
• Previous experience in a paralegal role is advantageous.
