Description
Robert Half is searching for a Paralegal to join a reputable law firm in Chicago, Illinois. This role will be primarily focused on the preparation of legal documents, assisting attorneys in preparation for legal proceedings, and maintaining client case materials. The Paralegal will also interact with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients, ensuring smooth communication and coordination in our day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the creation and review of legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and case management orders.
• Support attorneys in scheduling and preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Organize and maintain client case materials including medical records, imaging, bills, and other pertinent documents.
• Electronically file legal documents in both Illinois State and Federal Courts.
• Maintain effective communication with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients.
• Assist in coordinating case schedules and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Contribute to the preparation of depositions, mediations, and trials, including the hiring of court reporters and videographers.
• Provide support during legal proceedings
Requirements
• 2+ years of litigation experience
• Required to have experience in drafting legal documents
• Knowledge and experience in drafting pleadings is essential
• Must be adept at the discovery process in legal proceedings
• Proficiency in coordinating schedules for various stakeholders
• Experience with e-File system is necessary
• Must have the ability to effectively manage and organize medical records
