Robert Half Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Chicago, Illinois. This role is in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry and involves managing IT infrastructure related to new construction projects within the healthcare sector. This is an on-site role, requiring the successful candidate to visit construction sites for validation purposes.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing IT infrastructure surrounding new construction projects including renovations, updates, and the establishment of new clinics.

• Collaborating with construction project managers with architectural, facilities, and engineering backgrounds to ensure IT needs are integrated into building requirements.

• Preparing and maintaining network configuration spreadsheets as part of the daily tasks.

• Ensuring technology requirements are effectively integrated into the construction projects, particularly within the healthcare building and construction context.

• Visiting construction sites for validation and ensuring all aspects of the project are executed correctly.

• Managing construction projects, from the planning phase to completion, aligning with both construction and IT best practices.

• Utilizing skills in Construction, Network Architecture, Project Management Office (PMO), and the Healthcare Industry to effectively manage projects.

• Nurturing professional growth within the role, adapting to new responsibilities and challenges as they arise. Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience in the Healthcare Industry

• Proven ability in managing construction-based projects within the hospital sector

• Firsthand experience in Network Architecture

• Proficiency in PMO - Project Management Office strategies and implementation

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive them to successful completion

• Strong leadership skills with a capacity to inspire and motivate team members

• Excellent communication skills with a knack for conveying complex concepts clearly

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• High level of adaptability and openness to change

• Advanced proficiency in project management software and tools

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
