What you get to do:

The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting and Controls will be an integral part in the SEC reporting team and will be primarily focused on SEC reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls.

The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting and Controls must have strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and a solid foundation in external reporting, internal controls, and compliance. The individual must have the ability and demonstrated track record in researching, documenting and presenting the impact of technical accounting pronouncements. The successful candidate will be a dynamic results-driven professional, who thrives in a team environment, and is striving to advance their career development.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, including preparation of the consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and other required information, in accordance with US. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations

  • Assist in the preparation of other periodic SEC filings

  • Research relevant accounting guidance issued by the SEC, determining and documenting the appropriate technical accounting and reporting treatment

  • Monitor changes to the company’s business processes, ensuring internal controls are implemented and being performed as established

  • Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors

  • Completes ad-hoc and reporting projects as assigned by management

    Requirements

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree in Accounting preferred)

  • CPA preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting and/or public accounting (Big Four public accounting preferred)

  • 1+ years of experience in financial reporting (SEC reporting experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting

  • Proven track record for driving process efficiencies and solving problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and drive them to completion

  • Team player with a strong work ethic

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SEC Reporting module
