Description
We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Accountant in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. This position provides a unique opportunity to join our team and function within the financial industry. The successful candidate will be involved in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations, among other duties.
Responsibilities
• Undertake account reconciliation to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ascertain financial standing.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to confirm the company's cash position.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly.
• Prepare journal entries for financial transactions and events.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Operate Intacct accounting software for financial management and operations.
Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
• Solid understanding of General Ledger operations
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Familiarity with Intacct accounting software
• Proven senior-level experience in accounting roles
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions
• Knowledge of current accounting regulations and standards.
