CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, analyze and own the integrity of the monthly fund financial package for assigned real estate funds and/or joint ventures
Review investor capital accounts, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuation adjustments, management fee calculations and distribution waterfalls.
Exercise sound judgement regarding the proper allocation of accounting principles to various complex transactions in line with the fund operating agreement.
Support month-end and year-end close process for corporate entities including intercompany activities such as loans, fees, and reimbursements.
Collaborate with various internal and external teams to ensure timely completion of annual audits, annual tax returns and delivery of investor K-1s
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Provide general support to team members as needed
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
3 years of experience within public accounting or fund administration
Strong technical knowledge of partnership and investment company accounting
Detail oriented, analytical, and organized
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple projects through completion
Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
