Robert Half Senior Financial Analyst in Chicago, Illinois
Description
A Non-Profit client hopes to find a Senior Financial Analyst for a long-term contract project opportunity. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for such financial issues as project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting. You will need to follow public reporting requirements in order to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments, as well as provide decision-making support for future company investments. Chicago, Illinois will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Functional leads to draft management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and guarantee alignment of operational initiatives
Build advantageous relationships with integral business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership
Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results
Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports
Evaluate financial results, summarize key issues, and articulate integral messages to senior management in order to drive existing management reporting
Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization
Offer assistance for ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests as necessary
Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams
Requirements
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Proven knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required
A strong ability to work with office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
Track-record in process reengineering and optimization
Skills in critical thinking and the ability to operate effectively with management
