Job Description:
Contributors in this role assist the Director in coordinating fund reporting by tracking client expectations and timeliness, working with internal and external collaborators, and preparing and reviewing template-based fund reporting.
Responsibilities:
Produces, reviews, and verifies financial information including financial statements for commingled funds and separate accounts, providing qualitative analysis and comments.
Prepares periodic financial statements and assists with audit and tax preparation and review.
Handles portfolio budgets, forecasts, and reports for clients/investors.
Monitors financial performance and provides strategic advice to the leadership team.
Reviews periodic P& L calculations at the fund and investor levels.
Handles and operates the treasury/cash management function.
Reviews system prepared reports and supporting schedules for accuracy.
Reviews and signs-off on fund level bank account reconciliations.
Assists with financial institutions, handling financing arrangements and execution of loan agreements.
Reviews NAV calculations and financial packages for completion and accuracy.
Serves as contact point for investors.
Maintains shareholder registries and provides data for presentations.
May craft and prepare presentations on financials. Reviews/prepares performance models.
Troubleshoots sophisticated issues and ensures requests are handled timely and accurately.
If assigned direct reports, would support staff in areas of staffing including selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, appraising, rewarding performance, and retention.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
9+ years fund accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Prior experience in fund-level accounting preferred with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems such as Yardi.
Proven technical skills and GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards where applicable
Knowledge of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology.
Strong coordinative skills and well-developed judgment.
Excellent verbal and written English interpersonal skills.
