Description

Robert Half Legal is partnering with a large, national firm with a Chicago office that's seeking to hire a mid-level Associate Attorney with at least 4-6+ years of experience to join its growing national management-side Employment, Labor and Workforce Management practice. Candidates should have experience with federal and state labor & employment laws (e.g., trade secret law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws) and litigation experience in these areas. The ideal candidate should have the ability to handle certain aspects of litigation with minimal supervision such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending certain court appearances. Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, including employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies is also beneficial. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials and have excellent oral and written communication skills. This position is paying between $200-275K base salary plus strong bonus potential and will be working in-office.

Requirements

  • JD and Licensed in IL

  • 4-6+ years of experience handling a variety of labor & employment litigation and counseling

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Exceptional writing skills

  • Excellent academic credentials and references
