Description
We are searching for a dedicated and proactive Application Support Analyst to join our client's IT team in Chicago, Illinois! This short-term contract role involves providing robust support for existing software applications within the banking industry, ensuring smooth operation and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing and troubleshooting application issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Collaborating with internal departments to understand their application needs and provide technical guidance
Managing the application lifecycle, including installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance tasks
Conducting thorough testing to ensure application functionality, stability, and performance
Documenting application processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
Staying current on the latest application technologies and best practices
Participating in the creation and execution of disaster recovery plans for applications
Assisting with special projects as assigned.
Requirements • Demonstrated knowledge in Database and DB2 Database systems.
• Proficiency in working with EO/IR systems.
• Experience with IBM and Microsoft tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with AB Testing methodologies.
• Ability to create and manage Business Requirement Documents.
• Understanding of Computer Hardware and its functionalities.
• Experience in Configuration Management processes.
• Proven track record in managing and executing Deployments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently when required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Experience in a Systems Analyst role or similar is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
