We are seeking a versatile accounting and tax professional able to step into different situations and assist where necessary. Tax compliance is performed by Big 4 accounting firms, and the Tax Manager will liaise with the accounting firms on compliance matters, but also help set and execute tax strategy. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a wide range of accounting and tax experience within a growing private equity and real estate organization.

The qualified individual will be an analytical thinker with a strong work ethic, willingness to wear multiple hats, and a desire to be an integral part of a team‐oriented business. This person will have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and be able to accept and adapt to a growing and changing environment.

The primary areas for which this individual will be accountable:

· Lead tax strategy initiatives and analysis with the CFO and General Counsel.

· Oversee and manage tax compliance work performed by outside CPA firms.

· Analyze company compensation and incentive plans for tax efficiency.

· Communicate complex tax matters with firm executives and portfolio company management teams.

· Analyze and assess tax consequences associated with various real estate purchase and sale transactions.

· Perform other non-tax accounting and analysis as requested.

· Recommend and implement process improvement ideas for firm-level and investment fund accounting and tax reporting.

· Work with cross functional teams on tax matters and projects.

· Assist with projects as necessary, including directly working with the CFO.

· Assist with the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.


Preferred skills, capabilities, and experience:

· 8+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting, private equity, or real estate firm.

· CPA required.

· Desire and ability to interact with portfolio company financial management teams to discuss important tax matters and strategies.
