Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage all fund and corporate financial statement preparation and review in conjunction with various third-party administrators and other service providers;

  • Manage all SEC financial filings and communications;

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual board of directors and LP advisory committee presentations;

  • Manage specific SEC related financial reporting compliance programs as applicable;

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing capital markets transactions including registered and unregistered debt and equity offerings;

  • Assist in the preparation of sophisticated analyses to support BOD, analyst, and investor communications;

  • Assist in the fulfillment of LP information & data requests;

  • Manage internal relationships through ongoing interaction with the Investment Team, Compliance, Finance, Legal and Operations teams;

  • Manage and assist in the annual budgeting process and consolidated financial modeling;

  • Hire, mentor, and ensure the success of a Finance & Accounting team as the Firm continues to grow.

    Requirements

Candidates for the role should have nine or more years of professional experience, at least some being in the financial services/fund industry.

A CPA is preferred, along with experience in public accounting, and SEC reporting and compliance.

Candidates should be highly motivated, energetic and savvy, with demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and having strong communication skills, a successful candidate should have:

  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and comfortable managing multiple work streams and projects concurrently;

  • Ability to build working relationships across various departments/verticals with individuals at different experience levels;

  • A self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves attitude with a strong sense of urgency;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;

  • A high EQ and the ability to read individuals;

  • Strong maturity, self-confidence and the ability to take on increased responsibility (ownership mentality).
