Description
Work as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department,. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. Located in Chula Vista, California, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a contract / temporary position. This position is on-site and begins immediately.

Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Perform full-cycle A/P
Provide support during internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Carry out additional projects as required
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Requirements - Competent with spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Enter Invoices experience preferred
Knowledge of Coding Invoices
Adeptness in Code Invoices
Demonstrated knowledge of customer invoices
Strong familiarity with Code Invoices
General familiarity with Approved Invoices
Experience with Enter Vendor Invoices
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
