Description Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent. Responsibilities of the Purchasing Agent include collaborating and negotiating with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be processing purchase orders, in addition to locating suppliers and researching goods, services and materials. This is the Purchasing Agent position for you if you are a highly analytical and deadline oriented professional!
How you will make an impact
Collaborate with all departments to ensure they have appropriate inventory levels
Support the purchasing department with any additional tasks
Review that received orders are complete with all information
Carry out data entry of daily purchase orders
Work with vendors and suppliers, always providing superior customer service
Research and compare goods, suppliers, and services Requirements - High school diploma or GED required
Skilled in communication and negotiation
Proficiency in inventory management software programs, CRM, and ERP
Must have strong research skills and excellent analytical thinking
Degree in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred
Strong documentation and organization skills
Prior experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar position
