Description

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support our mission in the education sector. As a Human Resources Generalist in the education sector, you will play a key role in providing HR support to faculty, staff, and administrators. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting the growth and development of employees in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage the recruitment process for faculty and staff positions, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination.

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Assist in resolving employee relations issues through mediation, investigation, and conflict resolution strategies.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning for faculty and staff.

  • Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on performance-related matters.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate professional development programs and training initiatives for faculty and staff, identifying opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.

  • Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs and develop relevant training materials.

Benefits Administration:

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

  • Assist employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment processes.

HR Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as institutional policies.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures specific to the education sector.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in the education sector.

  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the education field.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
