Description

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support our mission in the education sector. As a Human Resources Generalist in the education sector, you will play a key role in providing HR support to faculty, staff, and administrators. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for supporting the growth and development of employees in an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Manage the recruitment process for faculty and staff positions, including job postings, applicant screening, and interview coordination.
Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing guidance and support as needed.
Assist in resolving employee relations issues through mediation, investigation, and conflict resolution strategies.
Performance Management:
Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning for faculty and staff.
Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on performance-related matters.
Training and Development:
Coordinate professional development programs and training initiatives for faculty and staff, identifying opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
Collaborate with department heads to assess training needs and develop relevant training materials.
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.
Assist employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment processes.
HR Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as institutional policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures specific to the education sector.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in the education sector.
Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the education field.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
