Robert Half International Accounting Manager in CINCINNATI, Ohio

The Accounting Manager controls the company's daily operations, which includes handling ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, helping with regulatory reporting, and more. The individual in this position will ideally be responsible for establishing and scaling the accounting and finance operations of the company. Your responsibilities in this role

Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet tight deadlines

Duties will include: Month end close, financial reporting, ensuring internal controls, review of costs, process improvement, manage AP function, sales tax returns, process credit applicaions, bank reconciliations, annual inventory

Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies and procedures

Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics and actual spend against budgets/outlook

Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts

Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes


  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • 3+ years' experience in accounting management with a large, international company

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Budget forecasting experience

  • Sales Tax Returns experience

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Solid technical skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
