We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Cincinnati, Ohio-based team. This crucial role involves managing various accounts receivable duties, dealing with customer billing processes, and maintaining precise customer records. The role also entails managing customer inquiries, scrutinizing customer accounts, and ensuring various billings' precision.

Responsibilities:

• Administer customer billing processes for multiple firms

• Respond to customer queries regarding account balances and to departmental inquiries about customer statements

• Post customer payments accurately via cash receipts and upkeep accurate customer credit records

• Undertake routine balance checks with fellow team members

• Inspect accounts receivable aging for overdue customer balances and generate collections reports

• Untilize research to inquire into payment histories of customers, follow up and clearly communicate the status to the customer

• Communicate with customers telephonically to determine reasons for unpaid bills and strategize debt repayment based on their financial capacity

• Review and update credit worthiness and limits of both old and new customers

• Produce, print, and verify the accuracy of customer statements before distribution

• Help gather documentation for specific projects as necessitated by the job function.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable Specialist role or similar

• Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and principles

• Experience in Billing and Commercial Collections is required

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Ability to work in a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
