Robert Half Billing Supervisor/Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing Manager with prior supervisory experience to lead our medical billing department. The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience in medical billing, with specific knowledge of private insurance billing, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the organization's billing procedures and processes.

  • Train, guide, and supervise the billing team to increase work efficiency.

  • Review and maintain patient billing records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Manage all aspects of medical billing, from patient admission to payment collection.

  • Establish and implement billing procedures and protocols for the department.

  • Liaise with health insurance providers to ascertain and update billing requirements and ensure quick resolution of any discrepancies.

  • Address any patient inquiries relating to billing, explaining their charges, billing process, and insurance procedures when required.

  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure that all required documents for billing are provided in a timely and precise manner.

  • Analyze financial data and reports to identify trends, cost issues, and revenue opportunities, and prepare regular financial and management reports.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.

  • Extensive work experience in medical billing, particularly private insurance billing, Medicare, and Medicaid.

  • Proven supervisory experience in managing a team, with strong leadership skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of medical coding procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with current healthcare laws, regulations, and medical ethics.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.

  • An exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
