Description We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of an Accountant in our team, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the retail industry, with a focus on Construction Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts, working with different teams, and handling various accounting software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with different teams on updates related to construction projects
• Oversee the processing of purchase and change orders
• Handle invoicing and updates to existing plans
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions for various tasks
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conduct Auditing and oversee Budget Processes
• Operate within the framework of Construction Accounting
• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and principles
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an Accountant role
• Proven proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is essential
• Demonstrable knowledge in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Must have experience in Auditing and Budget Processes
• Construction Accounting experience is desirable
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
