Robert Half Entry-Level Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and motivated Entry-level Accountant for an exciting contract to permanent opportunity. This position presents an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and emerging professionals to gain valuable experience and build a strong foundation in the accounting field. Responsibilities: Data Entry and Record Maintenance: Accurately input financial data, including invoices, expenses, and receipts, into the accounting system. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. Accounts Payable and Receivable Support: Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice validation, vendor payments, and customer collections. General Ledger Assistance: Provide support in maintaining the general ledger, ensuring entries are recorded accurately and reconciled. Bank Reconciliations: Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and monitor cash transactions. Financial Reporting Aid: Support the preparation of financial reports and summaries, helping to generate insights and analysis as directed. Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper categorization. Financial Audits: Collaborate in preparing documentation for internal and external audits and respond to auditor queries as needed. Ad-hoc Tasks: Participate in additional accounting projects and tasks as assigned by the finance team. Requirements Requirements: Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Accounting Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures. Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is essential. Familiarity with accounting software is a plus. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial data and documentation. Organization Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage tasks effectively. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for detail oriented interaction with colleagues and vendors. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with team members and contribute to the overall success of the finance department. Adaptability: Openness to learning and adapting to new accounting processes and systems.
