Robert Half Financial Reporting Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager in the Financial Services industry, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be engaged in a variety of tasks related to statutory reporting, reconciliations, and other month-end work.

Responsibilities: • Assist with statutory reporting and premium tax returns • Participate in the preparation and review of state filings • Contribute to the preparation and review of annual statements • Carry out reconciliations of statutory accounts • Conduct a detailed review of state pages within the 2019 Annual Statement • Support on Insurance Expense Exhibit and Credit Expense Exhibit filings • Manage complex workflows related to insurance expense and credit expense filings • Utilize skills in Property Casualty Insurance and Statutory Accounting to perform duties • Engage in control work that supports year-end workflows and analytics related to our year-end statutory workflows. Requirements • Must have a deep understanding of the Financial Services industry

• Proven experience as a Financial Reporting Manager or similar role

• Proficiency in Property Casualty Insurance

• Comprehensive knowledge of Statutory Accounting principles and procedures

• Ability to manage and oversee Complex Workflows

• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills

• Strong leadership abilities with a capacity to drive team members towards success

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

• Proficient in using financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations

• detail oriented qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
