Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the Healthcare industry, based in CINCINNATI, Ohio. The successful candidate will be handling patient billing, coordinating with insurance providers, and managing medical records using various software systems. Responsibilities:
• Process and submit insurance claims for patient services.
• Handle billing inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, EHR SYSTEM, and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate records and perform billing functions.
• Manage appeals process with insurance companies over any payment discrepancies.
• Oversee the administration of claims and coordinate with other departments to ensure proper billing.
• Implement collection processes for unpaid bills, coordinating with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in Medicare Billing, Medicaid Billing, and other relevant regulations.
• Use EMR software for various medical billing tasks.
• Interpret EOB - Explanation of Benefits to patients and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure all services are billed accurately.
Requirements
• Minimum of three years of experience in Medical Billing
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with appeals processes
• Knowledge of Billing Functions
• Understanding of Claim Administration
• Familiarity with Collection Processes
• Proficiency in Epic. Medisync or NextGen software
• Understanding of EOB - Explanation of Benefits
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicare Billing
• Understanding of Medicaid and Medicaid Billing
• Familiarity with Commercial Payer billing procedures
