Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio


Robert Half is supporting a well-established healthcare organization currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing Professional to join a growing team as a Lead Medical Biller. The Lead Medical Biller should have the following qualifications and experience.

3+ years of experience in Medical Billing, Medical Claims, Denials/Appeals.

3+ years of experience working in an EMR system submitting claims.

Familiarity with both Government and Commercial Payors and their specific guidelines.

As the Lead Medical Billing Specialist, you will be tasked with supporting the billing and denial follow up process for the organization. This includes accurately processing billing information, providing professional customer service over the phone and through email, ensuring billing and denial follow up is completed according to company guidelines.

  • Prefer 3+ years experience in medical billing or within the revenue cycle

  • Excellent data entry skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Deep understanding of medical claims

  • Appeal Letters experience

  • Solid understanding of medical billing

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Submit Appeals

  • Medical denials experience preferred

  • General familiarity with Provider Appeals

  • Adeptness in medical appeals

  • Proven knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOBs)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required

  • Healthcare practice management software experience preferred
