Description OfficeTeam is seeking candidates for a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist role with a client. Provide customer service over the phone and in-person in this Medical Receptionist role as the director of first impressions. This is a Medical Receptionist position for a self-starter who finds value working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while providing support and solutions to patients, healthcare professionals, insurance providers, etc. This short-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity is based in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

What you get to do every single day

  • Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

  • Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage

  • Updating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.

  • Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

  • Rendering assistance in the management of patient medical records

  • Helping with patient's paperwork occasionally

  • Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner

  • Efficiently responding to phone calls to maintain minimum rings and answering inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner

  • Greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries Requirements - Knowledge of Patient Appointments

  • Answering Inbound Calls experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Epic EMR

  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist

  • Proficiency with multi-line phone systems required

  • Knowledgeable of medical terminology and insurance products and plans

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work

  • 1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems

    • We are looking for a candidate who has experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
  • High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
