Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

We are offering a possible contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Medical Receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Answering phones promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate staff or taking messages as necessary.

• Checking patients in for their appointments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and accurate.

• Utilizing MS Word to update and maintain medical records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and properly filed.

• Coordinating with the medical team to manage patient schedules, making adjustments as needed to accommodate patient needs and staff availability.

• Addressing patient inquiries, providing information about services, and resolving any issues to ensure patient satisfaction.

• Maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

• Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations of the healthcare facility.

Requirements • Proficiency in MS Word is required for document creation and editing.

• Familiarity with medical records is essential for understanding and maintaining patient data.

• Excellent communication skills are required for interacting with patients and medical staff.

• Strong organizational skills are needed for managing appointments and patient records.

• Customer service skills are necessary for dealing with patient inquiries and concerns.

• Confidentiality is crucial due to the handling of sensitive patient information.

• Ability to multitask is needed due to the fast-paced nature of the job.

• Basic accounting skills are required for managing payments and invoices.

• Ability to work under pressure is important due to the potentially high volume of patients.

• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred to understand and communicate effectively within the healthcare environment.

• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and evenings, if required.
