Robert Half Payroll Clerk in Cincinnati, Ohio
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Payroll Clerk to join our team. Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, this role is in the finance industry and involves a thorough investigation of IRS tax notices.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed investigations of IRS tax notices
• Make necessary calls to the IRS to confirm outstanding payments
• Work with local authorities across 40 different locations as part of the investigation process
• Maintain a high level of patience while dealing with IRS and local authorities
• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and organize data
• Handle payroll-related tasks and queries
• Manage accounts payable and perform auditing tasks as required
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to compile and analyze data
• Manage payroll taxes and ensure tax reporting is accurate and timely
• Use ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce for various accounting functions. Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with Ceridian, Dayforce, and About Time software
• Experience in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Auditing practices
• Proficiency in UKG Ready and UKG Pro
• Experience in Local Payroll Tax, Payroll Tax Reporting, Payroll Tax Returns, and Payroll Taxes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal rules and laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
