Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role primarily involves supporting the Accounting and HR functions, with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in various accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and budget and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Record and process incoming cash receipts such as ACH, credit card, and checks

• Set up new vendors as necessary and process checks for all invoices and staff reimbursements

• Review payroll for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with managers as necessary

• Prepare and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly reconciliation

• Prepare and enter journal entries and general ledger review

• Assist with annual budget process and prepare monthly department budget reports

• Facilitate revenue reconciliation to Development systems

• Prepare and assist with grant budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting

• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and payroll

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sr. Accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Expertise in managing general ledger and journal entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in month-end close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software is essential

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus
