Description
We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our professional services team located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording cash transactions, preparing daily cash reports, managing intercompany transactions, and assisting with various accounting functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong attention to detail and a desire to contribute to the financial success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Monitor daily cash flow and record appropriate entries to the general ledger for affiliated companies.
Prepare daily cash reports and track various intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Actively participate in setting up new clients and handling cash requirements processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Assist with the billing of new clients, monthly clients, fee changes, and cancellations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
Prepare journal entries as needed to ensure business records conform with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Prepare bank reconciliations and work papers as necessary to reconcile cash transactions and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Analyze revenue and expenses for proper revenue recognition and apply GAAP principles to financial reporting.
Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned companies, including analyzing reports to determine proper application of GAAP.
Assist with budget preparation and import/balance into the financial system to support financial planning and analysis.
Prepare sales and use tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare year-end audit workpapers and other documents as requested by outside auditors within specified deadlines.
Engage in special projects as required from time to time to support organizational objectives.
Serve as backup for Accounting Specialized duties when required to ensure continuity of operations.

Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a staff accountant in the professional services industry
•Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High level of integrity and dependability
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
