Description
Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Operations with 5-10 years of relevant experience, particularly within the e-commerce sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in operations management, team leadership, process improvement, and logistics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring seamless coordination across all facets of our business.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and optimize all aspects of the company's operations, with a focus on e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse management, and logistics.
Lead a team of operations professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive performance and achieve operational goals.
Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and maintain consistency in operations.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to service level agreements.
Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational performance and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as sales, marketing, finance, and IT to align operational initiatives with overall business objectives.
Oversee company relocation projects, including planning, execution, and post-relocation operations management.
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce, logistics, and operations management to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to operations, logistics, and workplace safety.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
5-10 years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably within the e-commerce industry.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
Experience developing and implementing SOPs to standardize processes and improve efficiency.
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and software.
Demonstrated experience managing third-party logistics relationships and warehouse operations.
Experience overseeing company relocations and managing the associated logistical challenges.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and process improvement.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
