Robert Half Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant in City of Industry, California

Hybrid remote opportunity!

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in the City of Industry, California. In this role, you will be tasked with managing the full cycle of accounts receivable, including cash collections, cash application, and reviewing related customer chargebacks or deduction. Your focus will be on maintaining accurate customer records and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounts receivable transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures

• Conduct financial transactions daily, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data

• Prepare and submit invoices and bank deposits

• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted

• Maintain up-to-date records of all accounts receivable activities

• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients

• Regularly review accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts

• Use Customer portal to submit invoices, track payment status and resolve any issues

• Assist in analyzing chargebacks by collaborating with internal teams and customers

• Support the accounts receivable team with ad-hoc projects as needed

• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Familiarity with billing and cash applications

• Knowledge of account reconciliation and commercial collections

• Ability to manage chargebacks and generate aging reports

• Demonstrated competence in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive company financial information.
