Robert Half Plant Controller in City of Industry, California
Description We are seeking a Plant Controller for our manufacturing operations based in the City of Industry, California. This role will entail the management of financial activities related to manufacturing and warehousing operations. The Plant Controller will ensure key control functions related to inventory and fixed assets, collaborate with the site leadership team, and all departments to drive company growth and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the cost accounting functions for our manufacturing business
• Provide detailed variance analysis and conduct performance management reviews with site leadership
• Participate actively and provide input in the planning process for cost-related inputs
• Determine pricing for custom products and collaborate with leadership to develop and maintain an approved price list of standard products
• Prepare reconciliations and analysis of balance sheets and direct cost and other manufacturing related accounts
• Oversee cycle counting program and physical inventory processes, including inventory held at supplier locations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all audit related inquiries on manufacturing cost, fixed asset and inventory related accounts
• Conduct budgeting and forecasting, manage financial month-end close process, and provide monthly results commentary
• Create and prepare financial analysis, product costing analysis, track, manage and control capital expenditure projects
• Conduct excess and obsolete inventory review, ad hoc reporting, and assist departments and finance team members. Requirements • Deep understanding of Cost Accounting principles and methodologies.
• Demonstrable proficiency in using spreadsheet formulas for financial modeling and analysis.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheet software, including pivot tables, lookups, and macros.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP Accounting standards and practices.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and its application in a manufacturing environment.
