Robert Half Plant Controller in City of Industry, California

Description We are recruiting for a Plant Controller to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in the City of Industry, California. This role involves overseeing the financial operations of the plant, including financial analysis, cost reduction, and inventory control.

Responsibilities:

• Manage plant-specific financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and internal controls.

• Lead and conduct special projects, financial analysis, and feasibility studies for cost reduction and business opportunities.

• Oversee plant inventory, capital spending, fixed asset management, and overall site working capital and cash flows.

• Coordinate and develop the annual facility business plan in accordance with corporate guidelines.

• Manage a variety of financial or accounting activities such as budget preparation, standard cost preparation, audits, internal control activities, and account reconciliations.

• Collaborate with Information Services for the implementation of new applications.

• Analyze and resolve complex problems related to accounting.

• Prepare comprehensive administrative and technical documents.

• Prepare and deliver presentations to management.

• Work effectively in a general business environment, focusing on high levels of quality and customer service. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP

• Proficiency in General Ledger management and Financial Analysis

• Experience with Financial Close Process and Financial Forecast

• Demonstrable skills in Financial Reporting and Financial Statement preparation

• Familiarity with Monthly Financial Close, Month-end Financial, Monthly Financial Reporting

• Ability to prepare Monthly Financial Reports and Monthly Financial Statements

• Experience in preparing Year-end Financial Statements

• Knowledge of Cost - Standard, Cost Accounting, Cost Analysis, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in MS Office 365 and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• CPA or CMA certification preferred
