The Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the Clearwater, Minnesota region. If you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, you might be right for this position. How you will make an impact
Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties
Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis
Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
Analyze deliverables of self and team to confirm they meet client expectations
Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection Requirements
Excellent attention to detail
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
