Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. As a Controller, you will be working in a dynamic environment, overseeing various accounting functions, managing the company's financial objectives, and ensuring adherence to accounting regulations.
Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing and managing the accounts receivables aging report
• Conducting account reconciliations and journal entries
• Researching, analyzing, and providing clarifications or corrections on financial variances as needed
• Preparing monthly management reports for internal review, tax reporting, and external audits
• Ensuring the company’s invoicing process is conducted efficiently across all service types and locations
• Managing the accounts payable cycle, including scheduling of payments and addressing inquiries or complaints
• Establishing professional collaborative partnerships with officers, managers, coworkers, customers, contractors, and vendors
• Ensuring all policies, procedures, and internal controls are adhered to, in accordance with company policy and GAAP
• Meeting accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
• Confirming financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data, and preparing special reports
• Maintaining financial security by establishing internal controls
• Keeping information confidential to protect the organization’s value
• Providing business analysis as needed
• Managing pricing and margin policies. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Proficiency in 3M and CRM
• Expertise in the use of Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential
• Proficiency in Crystal Reports
• Proven experience in managing Accounting Functions
• Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
