Robert Half International Credit Manager in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Description

The Credit Manager is responsible for the review of credit information for the purpose of granting credit to new and existing customers, for the collection of accounts deemed to be delinquent, and for assisting in determining when the accounts should be referred to an outside agency or attorney for further collection efforts.

  • Manages the credit department and staff

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and company processes

  • Establish credit limits and review and maintain customer accounts

  • Review contracts and purchase orders for insurance requirements and/or bonds

  • Perform collections

  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with multi-state lien and bonding requirements and sales tax rates

  • Provides consultation to management in regard to past, current and future credit reports

  • Issue monthly invoices and statements; follow up as needed

  • Maintain customer credit and project files

  • Investigates and resolves matters of significance on behalf of management by working closely with our sales force and various departments to resolve customer concerns

  • Maintain corporate credit policy and recommend changes to management when applicable.

  • Responsible for monitoring collection accounts referred to legal.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess 10+ years of accounting experience. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must possess knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software; past ERP experience a plus.
