Robert Half Logistics Coordinator in Cleveland, Ohio

Description We are on the hunt for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is centered around coordinating logistics and shipping functions, mainly liaising with funeral homes to ensure the smooth transport of remains. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and is based in an office setting.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics for the shipping of remains, working closely with funeral homes in our network

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls daily to manage logistics and resolve any issues

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of logistics information and activities

• Utilize internal software for logistics coordination and tracking, training will be provided

• Perform basic office duties such as emailing and faxing as necessary

• Ensure accurate information is transferred to legal documents

• Multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment to ensure smooth operations

• Provide strong customer service to our clients, the funeral homes

• Carry out any additional logistics coordination tasks as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in shipping procedures and protocols is necessary.

• Extensive knowledge of logistics coordination is required.

• Ability to coordinate logistics and manage shipping functions effectively.

• Strong understanding of transportation logistics for efficient planning and execution.

• Excellent organizational skills to manage logistical operations.

• Solid communication skills to liaise with various departments and external stakeholders.

• Ability to problem-solve and swiftly respond to any issues or discrepancies in the logistics process.

• Experience in using logistics software or systems.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.

• Good physical health to handle the physical demands of the job, if necessary.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

• Strong customer service skills to handle any inquiries or complaints.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
