We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst based in Cleveland, Ohio! This is a direct hire position with standard business hours. It is an onsite role. They are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in general accounting.

This position supports the payroll, compensation, and accounting departments. This is not a payroll processing job but more of an analytical position. They do need someone who is very organized, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable managing large amounts of data within Excel.

Responsibilities:

-Handle all benefit functions, ensuring they are administered correctly

-Resolve any payroll discrepancies promptly and accurately

-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations

-Assist in the preparation of reports for senior management when required

-Work closely with the HR team to ensure smooth payroll operations

-Continuously review processes and implement improvements where necessary

-Maintain payroll reporting and accounts

-Help managers with compensation

-Maintain the payroll and compensation databases

-Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

-Strong general accounting experience

-Strong MS Excel skills

-Experience with reconciliations, audits, general ledger, and tax documents

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

-Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

-Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

• Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
