Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Clifton Park, New York

Description

Robert Half is actively searching for a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at an innovative company in the Environmental industry. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This is a superb role and you will have the opportunity for career growth and advancement within this dynamic department. Located in Halfmoon, New York, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.

What you get to do every single day

  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

  • Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

  • Provide support during internal and external audits

  • Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

  • Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

  • Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling

  • Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

  • Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

  • Fulfill full-cycle A/P

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Deep understanding of Enter Vendor Invoices

  • Vendor Files experience highly desired

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Invoice Coding

  • Batching experience preferred

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • Adeptness in Check Runs

  • Foundational knowledge in Maintain Vendor Files

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
